Current chestrig setup

Always wanted to post my setup when it’s the ‘final’ version. Had to realise that there is no such thing, as it is constantly changes and evolves even game to game…

I will post time to time when some significant changes are done on it. So here is my chestrig setup fron the latest game I been at, with some little reasoning why things set up they way they are.

Notice that this is JUST the chest rig. I have a hanger pouch for tools and spares, a belt line for games where I have to carry more stuff and a backpack for longer and/or night games to add.

I will try to give you a link for most things you see here, but some of them are custom, and some I just can’t remember where I got it…

From base to pouches and from left to right order.

The molle base it a Thorax molle front panel copy, it’s made to fit on front of a plate carrier, but I use it as a chestrig base. I sewn a custom velcro mesh panel to the back of it, that gives some extra comfort.

On both sides there are a 3×3 molle which hook on the side loops of the chest rig and also on the velcro on the rear. Sadly I can’t find the link for them anymore, possible that these were discontinued.

The harness and back strap are crye lite copy. Honestly other than the elastic back stap this harness does not give much more than the usual chest rig harness like the D3 or spiritus rigs have… I will replace this with a custom one eventually.

On the left and right side there are Templars Gear double .308 mag pouches. These fit to .308 mags properly, or 2-3 SRS mags. I use these are multipurpose pouches, usually I carry smoke grenades, or as you see on the left a laser range finder and on the right two frag grenades. I will replace one or both with a JSTA eventually.

The next in line is a larger suppressor pouch, I can’t remember where it is from, or who is the maker, but it fits my 9ci airtank for my Mk23. The following molle space is used by the extra cabels of my com setup, it’s for my Midland bowman headset and ptt. (Should I post about com setup?)

The radio itself has a it’s own pouch, it’s sold by several brands usually as UV5R pouch, my one is a pew tactical I think. It’s a really usefull because you can just tilt the radio out to check or change freqs and settings… As you see I sewn on some velcro to the front flap.

The last one is the big main piece, it’s a Spiritus JSTA copy and ultimately my favourite pouch in general. In the rear velcro comp I made some custom kydex inserts which holding 5 shells for my Mk23. In the inside there is an elastic inserts, which has 2 spare shells, some small tools and a red led penlight. It’s mostly for night for finding stuff in my backlack, but we have fields where there are underground tunels, bunkers and other places with zero light so I keep it in for daytime games too. In the pouch there is a small torch and a spare radio battery too.

This is where I also throw small items, spares or whatever I have to store for short time. This one also have a velcro sewn to the front, because I kinda have a velcro problem it seems…

This mostly concludes my chestrig setup at the very moment. Highly possible it won’t be the same next week, but the main concept will remain the similar.

Feel free to comment or suggest stuff as you wish.
