First off all watch the video to see the image quality!
TL:DR at the bottom of the page.
I always wanted to show EXACTLY what I see ingame, and this camera records through my actual scope, with a prism system.

It is an old item, got it second hand unused, but it’s not an up to date camera really, the main issue if you have to pair it with a really good scope, it’s a good 50%+ of the system.

Since it was storeed for long time, the battery died on me on the first game, I can not source a replacement, at least the camera has an USB C inside. Cut out the battery cover, and now running it on a powerbank with a single 18650 inside.

This system is NOT plug n play… You got some spacers to install on the eyepiece of the scope, thats the least of the problems. Once it’s on you have to find and angle with dosn’t blocked by any scope hardware or the bolt handle, then you got to match the angle of the camera insie the prism assemly to have a nice vertical crossair on the footage.

Once you find all the right angles, you have to adjust the focus of the eyepiece on the scope. You got to find a focus setting where the target is sharp on the footage, the crossair is sharp on the footage AND you still have a sharp image yourself to aim! This is mounting and dismounting the prism assembly every each time you change the focus on the scope. /nightmare/
The video quality itself is good in my opinion. With soome zooming in and editing it’s will be all good. The video you see is just cut, completely unedited. While the image is good, the audio quality is trash.
Since the prism takes away at least half the light whath the scope collects, you really need a good quality one, and still it will be difficult to aim in lowlight conditions.
Let’s list the positives:
-it works as intended regard the video recording
-it has a one press button record + vidration istead of beeping
Negatives:
-difficult installation
-completely messes up the eyerelief and eyebox of the scope
-limits low light performance
-no/barely any customer support & spare parts left
-form factor is suboptimal
-takes special batteries only without modification
TL;DR: It’s a piece of outdated crap. Eventually I will pick up a Triggercam 2.1
Stay tuned!
