SA transparent shell first look review

Suddenly the good quality shotgun shells became important by the spreading of Airtac HPA adapters and other bits which let’s us utilise them…

Most people so far using Cyma because it’s cost effective and reliable, and I would too, but I feel like it’s really important to be able to visually check which ‘mag’ is full, empty, or on half.

Years ago I found some transparent shells, but had to replace springs and followers to Cyma too, just to make them work. Ew.

BUT some days ago a fellow player let me know of the new Specna Arms shells becoming avaialble separately of full shotguns, and I ordered them right away 😀 Let’s take a look at them!

Remind you it is just a FIRST LOOK review, and I got to run them on some games to draw conclusion.

The quality looks perfectly fine, and the sping feels a bit stronger than others I tried.

These are a bit different regard dimensions. The Cyma external diameter with the cover sticker is 21.0mm, however these SA shells are 21.4mm with the sticker, and 21.2mm the stickers removed.

This small difference does not affect the function with the Airtac Mk23 adapters, but it may make it fit too tight in others… It also fits fine in the SRS shell adapter too.

In my case, they did not fit with stickers into my Cyma shell holder which I use in my chest rig, first perfect with the stickers removed. If you use elastic shell holders or just throw them in your pocket, this won’t be a concern for you.

So far, it fits well and feeds flawless with some indoor shooting. Looking forward for the first game with them!
