If you scroll for gear for more than few minutes you will meet this pretty much useless oversized admin/tool pouch. It’s not really usefully for anything in this shape and form, but it gave me an idea…

I had one laying around and noticed my smaller 8ci airtank fits it pretty nicely with regulator on. However it’s internal sturcture rendering it useless mostly for me.

So the conversion began, cut out the inside lineing which had this weird fabric, a zipper pocket, ad elastis staps and cut off the plastic D rings.

Lined the whole inside surface with velcro, first glued the velcro in place than sewn it fixed, so I can install any internal pouch or strap to hold things I need.

On the rear I made two cuts and sews on elastic webbing, similar to the backpacks have for camelback hoses, it will allow the airline and PTT wires to pass through.

The loops where D ring were and the molle on the sides got their own non-sew buckles, and now we can add the shoulder straps and backstraps…

As finishing step I sprayd some ranger green on it from a rattle can, to make the fabric look less shiny.

And its done! A compact sniper chest rig/bag from an other way useless pouch, holding an airtank, 4 shells, 2 SRS pouches and a radio, it’s about all I need for a half day game…

But wait! There is more!

Since it’s molle on back, you can install on molle platforms and make an actual chestrig, I just added JSTA pouches both side, now can carry grenades, smokes, range finder and all the small bits and bobs and a hanger pouch!

It can also go on a belt setup with similar structure is you prefer.
